On this episode we are joined by Tara Dillon, the CEO of CIMSPA (the Chartered Institute for Sport & Physical Activity). Over the last 20+ years Tara has managed Leisure Centres, been an Executive Director for awarding organisation IQL UK, before taking on the role to lead CIMSPA as the CEO in March 2015.
Tara remains fully aware of the challenges that face the Sport & Physical Activity sector, and now utilises her platform to lobby for positive change and professionalisation in the Industry.
She regularly represents the sector at the Houses of Parliament and DCMS (Department for Digital Culture Media & Sport).
Not only has she created a culture within the organisation of equality, respect and teamwork, Tara was also voted in the top five CEOs by The Times, Best Companies initiative.
She regularly emphasises that our sector is a vital support arm for the NHS and wants to empower the workforce to be recognised accordingly.
